Al llegar a Hettange-Grande, la iglesia de Saint Etienne, construida sobre una roca, domina el pueblo e invita a descubrirlo. Construida sobre los restos de un castillo medieval del que sólo quedan un pozo y una torre, esta iglesia no dejará de despertar su curiosidad con su campanario que no sigue la orientación general de la iglesia y que, por tanto, le da un aspecto sorprendente. La iglesia contiene vidrieras de Jean Barillet de estilo figurativo pero estilizado. A sus pies fluye el Kissel, el arroyo que serpentea por la ciudad.
