The 4h30 ascent, crossing all the mountain levels on an old mule track well marked and paved in places, can be punctuated by stops at the Lac d'Oô refuge and then at the Espingo refuge.
Hikers and experienced mountaineers appreciate its position as a base camp in the heart of a cirque of 12 peaks over 3000m high. Mountaineers have a vast choice of ridges and granite faces.
