La Flotje waffles, from the nickname given to founder Florence Carton by her grandmother, are made in Sainte-Marie Cappel. In the heart of Flemish country, the "little flo", with the help of her husband, a former pastry chef, produces waffles in five flavors: three classics (rum, vergeoise and vanilla) and two that vary with the seasons. Her waffles were among the finalists for the Best Waffle 2021 award.
