The Grande Traversée du Volcan by bike offers an intense journey through the Cantal mountains, from the Lot to the Allier. This demanding route winds along winding roads between gorges, volcanoes and high plateaus. Stages such as Maurs, Aurillac, Mandailles and Allanche offer the opportunity to discover the local gastronomy and meet the locals. The highlight of the route is the ascent of the Pas de Peyrol pass, at the foot of the Puy Mary, offering a spectacular reward for this ideal journey over a long weekend.
