From vine to bottle

Day 1: Romanèche-Thorins - Cruzille

Your stay begins with an original journey to discover the world of vineyards aboard a gondola at the Hameau Duboeuf. This theme park around the vine playfully reveals everything that the vine and wine represent in Burgundy's heritage.
Continue your discovery by visiting Château Portier, a characteristic building of Beaujolais. Built just meters from the Moulin à Vent, a historical monument from the 15th century, Château Portier, with its vines from the most renowned terroirs of southern Burgundy, offers a wide selection of old vintages. Take the opportunity to taste the traditional "Mâchon Beaujolais" (charcuterie and cheese)!
Leave the grape varieties of Beaujolais to arrive in Mâconnais, where the valleys offer a completely different landscape. Discover the land of Lamartine from the summit of the Roches de Solutré or Vergisson. Well-shod and after a half-hour walk, from the top of this rocky escarpment with its reddish ochre glow, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the dotted vineyards, charming villages, and the Saône plain to the east.

We suggest stopping in Cruzille, in a gîte at the heart of an organic farming estate (visits and tastings possible).

Day 2: Cruzille - Dracy-le-Fort

Your day begins with a visit to a picturesque village with a medieval setting: Brancion. The castle, surrounded by a steep ravine, can be visited freely or with a guide. Also, enter the Saint-Pierre Church, which is open access, and with a bit of luck, the melodies of the harpist will enchant you.

Continue your itinerary and take the opportunity to enjoy a gourmet break in Tournugeois. There is no shortage of gourmet restaurants that will allow you to discover traditional and authentic cuisine, and perhaps try a cooking class at the restaurant le Relais d’Ozenay…

Want to stretch your legs? The "Green Walks" will allow you to discover the hidden heritage of this territory.

Then set out to discover a gem of Romanesque art by visiting the abbey of Saint-Philibert in Tournus, and make a stop at the vineyard cave of the abbey. After some explanations about the Tournugeois vineyard, you will be able to taste different wines typical of the region.

We suggest stopping at a charming hotel with a local menu in Dracy-le-Fort.

Day 3: Dracy-le-Fort - Gevrey-Chambertin

Your last day ends on the road of great Burgundy wines.
Take a detour through the old district of Chalon-sur-Saône, the Hospices of Beaune, the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges… The cellars and estates will be present throughout this itinerary.
Finally, we suggest visiting the Château de Pommard to discover a "prestigious wine."
