From medieval Montbrun-les-Bains, you will pass clockwise, first through the Col d'Aulan. It is not a difficult climb but a beautiful one: you pedal through the Gorges de Toulourenc. At the top you have a beautiful view of Mont Ventoux. In the village of Aulan there is a castle.
You continue by bike to the highest point of this route: the Col de Perty (at 1302 meters above sea level). From the top you have a beautiful view to the east. After a long descent (about 9 km) follows the Col de Saint-Jean quite difficult (with longer sections of 8 to 9%, the summit is after 5.4 km of climb to 1158 meters above sea level), then the Col de Macuègne (1068m above sea level).

The roads on this road are of good quality and also in high season it is very quiet on the roads. The climbs are not difficult (the Col de Saint-Jean is an exception, but still feasible given the length), but in high season the heat can be disappointing.
