This bust of Nunzio Nasi in Erice, who died in Erice in 1935, is located in the Balio city park.
He served several times as Minister of the Kingdom of Italy (Minister of Post and Minister of Public Education). He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
As an opponent of Giovanni Giolitti, he was accused in 1904 of embezzlement in the exercise of his ministerial function. However, the final determination of criminal responsibility was limited to the unlawful misappropriation of stationery and the like. Justice received permission from the House to arrest Nasi. He fled to France and London . He was also expelled from all Masonic lodges.
In 1912 he was accepted back to the University of Rome and returned to Parliament in 1913 .
