The park is located in the North-East of the Luxembourgish Ardennes, at the tripoint between Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg. With an area of 306 km2 and about 16,000 inhabitants, seven municipalities have come together to reconcile the protection of nature and the economic development of the region. The member municipalities are Clervaux, Kiischpelt, Parc Hosingen, Putscheid, Tandel, Troisvierges, and Vianden.
