Terborg is a small town in the Achterhoek region that is part of the municipality of Oude IJsselstreek (until 2005: municipality of Wisch) in the Dutch province of Gelderland. As of early 2008, Terborg had 4,529 inhabitants. Terborg is located approximately 7 kilometers southeast of Doetinchem and borders Gaanderen to the north, Etten to the west, and Silvolde to the south. Terborg has a train station on the Arnhem - Winterswijk railway line. Terborg is situated along the Oude IJssel. In the center of the town lies Castle Wisch. To the southeast is the nature reserve Paasberg. Terborg was granted city rights in 1419. The patron saint of the town is Saint George.
