On the IJsselkade stands the impressive Walmolen. It is a grain mill from the year 1851. The predecessor of this mill was a standard mill that was destroyed by a fire in 1850. It was rebuilt and was in operation until 1908. In 1910, everything was demolished, leaving only the stone base. It was supposed to be demolished in 1961 but was fortunately saved before the demolition hammer could strike.
Opening Hours
The miller would be happy to tell you more about the mill.
The mill is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and on Saturdays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
On Saturdays, the mill is open every other week.
