The house at Kogerstraat 66 was built in 1910 as a café with house for Cornelis Boon after his own design. The café part is now called Kogerstraat 66, the house behind it is divided into Schoonoordsingel 1 and 3. The café did not yet have the remarkable façade, but a small first floor with space for a storage attic. Until 1931 (when the application for a permit for the construction of a garage on the building shows the façade in its current state) the exact data can no longer be found, but in 1925 the building, which had lost its function as a café, was probably owned by Reijer Pieter Keijser SRz for some years, a livestock farmer. It is very likely that he rebuilt the first floor to create sleeping space for his children, giving the façade its current, architecturally special shape.
