The Altena College is a school for secondary education in Sleeuwijk. Previously, the school was known as De Wegwijzer.
The school was established in 1924 as a mulo, the Christian Mulo, and in 1963 the school added a meao department. In 1968, with the introduction of the Mammoth Act, the school became a mavo, and in 1973 a havo department was added. A year later, in 1974, the name De Wegwijzer was chosen. The atheneum department followed in 1986. The meao was separated based on the applicable government regulations in 1990. This merged into the current Da Vinci College. Also, that year a new name for the school was chosen, the Altena College.
