In the garden of the Historical Center Laren - De Lindenhoeve - stands the sculpture "The Sower" by Herman Strating. The sculpture was placed in 2001 and represents Hendrik Smit, the last farmer and resident of the Lindenhoeve. (Address: Burgemeester van Nispenstraat 29, the sculpture can also be seen outside opening hours from the Nieuweweg). In the Historical Center is the plaster model of the war memorial by Nel Klaassen (further along the route).
