The water tower of Raamsdonksveer was built in 1925 and designed by architect Hendrik Sangster. The tower has a height of 43.85 meters and one water reservoir of 300 m³.
The tower in Raamsdonksveer has the characteristic style elements of expressionism and Art Deco that Sangster applied in these years.
This water tower is a registered national monument. After a thorough renovation, around 1990, the water tower was put into use by an art loan for companies and institutions in the Netherlands and Belgium. The water tower now serves as an office, exhibition and storage space and houses one of the largest art collections in Europe.
