The Katjesbos is a small ewe forest. It arose spontaneously after the clay was excavated. The grove consists mainly of white willows and black poplars. During a January storm in 2018, many trees were blown down. In the forest live typical forest birds such as great and green woodpecker, treecreeper and nuthatch. A buzzard also breeds there almost every year.
