On one side of the Market, the tower of the Geertruidskerk rises up, and on the other side, you cannot miss the cooling tower of the Amercentrale. Much is compensated by the beautiful linden trees on either side of the Market, which also somewhat hide the parked cars. Take the time to admire the many historic buildings, such as the old Town Hall at Markt 32-34, or Huis De Roos at Markt 46, and the former Orphanage at number 52.
