Zwolle City Hall

The building consists of two parts: an old part from the 15th century and a modern part completed in 1975.

The current building of zwolle's town hall started with the replacement of the old town hall on the Grote Kerkplein by the Raadhuis and the Wijnhuis on the Sassenstraat and the Raadhuistoren on the Grote Kerkplein. Through purchase and renovation, the Meentehuis and the Dirk Mosterthuis were added to the complex in the Sassenstraat. Of these buildings, the Town Hall, the Meentehuis and the Dirk Mosterhuis were preserved. In 1821 they were radically and almost unrecognizably modernized and merged under a plastered frame façade. The late Gothic stone façade for the Town Hall and the Winery was then demolished.
