This route leads from Someren to the Wassenberg Hills, a ridge east of the Rur River (German: Rur) near Wassenberg.

First, you ride to Nederweert-Eind and follow the through roads with bike paths until just past Kelpen-Oler. After that, you continue on wonderfully quiet side roads to Grathem and Heelderpeel. In Heel, you ride along the waterway De Lange Vlieter before heading towards the Maas. You cross it at the weir in Linne. In Linne, you climb a short steep edge and continue to Sint-Odiliënberg, not on the main road, but along quiet side paths.

After Sint-Odiliënberg, you ride on quiet roads through the Roerdal and over the bike bridge across the Rur River to the village of Paarlo. From Paarlo to Vlodrop, you cross the border into Germany at Effelder Waldsee: at the border crossing, there is about 200 meters of well-maintained gravel road. At the water castle of Elsum, you ride to Birgelen.

From Birgelen, there are some climbs through the Wassenberg Hills. The route turns northwest over Rosenthal and leads along a bike path through the Effelder Forest. Then you cross the border into the Netherlands, again over about 200 meters of gravel road that is well-maintained. Now you pass by the Gitstappermolen, a watermill on the Roode Beek with dining options.

Then you ride through Herkenbosch and afterwards over a narrow asphalted bike path through the nature reserve Luzenkamp. Through the surrounding area of Asenray, you ride to Boukoul and to the picturesque Asselt. Over Leeuwen and the industrial area near the Designer Outlet Roermond, you make your way towards the Maas bridge. After that, the route again leads over quiet paths through Horn, Baexem, Leveroy towards Ospel with Someren as the final destination.
