El molino fue construido en 1790 y trasladado en 1923 desde Pittem (anteriormente conocido como Kruisbergmolen, situado al otro lado de la carretera frente al Rijsselendemolen) como reemplazo del Steenakkermolen, que fue destruido por la guerra. El molino de postes, que es capaz de moler, ahora muele regularmente alimento para animales y harina para pan. Gracias a su excelente ubicación en la ladera occidental de la cresta de colinas de 's Graventafel, el molino es visible desde una gran distancia.
