El edificio de la estación data de 1840 y es el edificio de estación más antiguo que todavía existe en Bélgica y en el continente europeo. Era un edificio equilibrado con una parte central alta con un frente de punta y a cada lado una ampliación en planta baja, las tres con el mismo ritmo: ventana, puerta, ventana, puerta, ventana. Sin embargo, debido a las numerosas remodelaciones a partir de finales del siglo XIX, toda la simetría y apariencia del edificio se ha perdido. También en el interior, el edificio se ha adaptado con frecuencia a las necesidades del momento y queda poco o nada de la arquitectura original.
