L'edificio della stazione risale al 1840 ed è il più antico edificio di stazione ancora esistente in Belgio e nel continente europeo. Era un edificio equilibrato con una parte centrale alta con frontone e su ciascun lato un ampliamento a pianterreno, tutti e tre con la stessa ritmica: finestra, porta, finestra, porta, finestra. Tuttavia, a causa dei numerosi lavori di ristrutturazione a partire dalla fine del XIX secolo, tutta la simmetria e l'aspetto dell'edificio sono andati persi. Anche all'interno l'edificio è stato regolarmente adattato alle esigenze del momento e rimane poco o nulla dell'architettura originale.
