'El bosque Elishout solía ser propiedad de los señores de Aa. La parte más importante del bosque Elishout fue donada a la abadía de Vorst por la familia de Aa a principios del siglo XIV. La actual granja Elishouthoeve ha sido ampliada y renovada en varias ocasiones. Los edificios actuales datan de 1754. Los edificios fueron elevados en relación con el patio interior, sin duda debido a las regulares inundaciones del Zenne. La granja Elishouthoeve fue incorporada al complejo COOVI, que ahora es propiedad de la Comunidad Flamenca (VGC). Todo el complejo sigue siendo uno de los mejores ejemplos de las grandes granjas de abadía en los alrededores de Bruselas.'
