atraviesa el valle de Hérens y el pueblo de Bramois. Nace en la confluencia del Borgne de Arolla y del Borgne de Ferpècle, en Les Haudères. En la parte baja del valle, se adentra en profundas gargantas de casi 3 km de longitud, al final de las cuales se encuentra la ermita de Longeborgne y desemboca en el Ródano a una altitud de 493 m/m.
Una parte de las aguas se capta para las instalaciones de la Grande Dixence, en particular en la presa de Ferpècle y aguas arriba de la estación de bombeo de Arolla. Una parte de las aguas se capta en la presa de la Luette así como en el Sauterot desde 1915, produciendo anualmente 85 GWh en la central de Bramois.
