El Cementerio Este se inauguró el 1 de julio de 1800 como un cementerio comunitario para las comunidades de fe judía, católica, luterana y reformada en Hamm.
En el Cementerio Este de Hamm se han conservado una serie de monumentos funerarios de principios del siglo XIX, entre ellos la lápida de la familia von Rademacher y la losa funeraria del Mayor von Rabenau. También son destacables los lugares de enterramiento de numerosos ciudadanos honorarios de Hamm. Un catálogo ilustrado informa sobre los monumentos funerarios de la parte judía. Frente a la entrada principal en la Ostenallee se encuentra el monumento del presidente del Tribunal Superior Adalbert Falk.
