La estación de Oberhausen-Holten fue una estación durante aproximadamente 80 años y hoy es un punto de parada. Se encuentra en la línea de tren Oberhausen–Arnhem, que forma parte de la denominada Betuweroute, una importante conexión de tren de mercancías entre la cuenca del Ruhr y el puerto de Róterdam.
El punto de parada está situado a aproximadamente dos kilómetros del centro del barrio de Holten en Oberhausen, en el borde del barrio de Schmachtendorf.
