Het station Oberhausen-Holten was ongeveer 80 jaar lang een station en is vandaag de dag een halte. Het ligt aan de spoorlijn Oberhausen–Arnhem, die deel uitmaakt van de zogenaamde Betuweroute, een belangrijke goederentreinverbinding tussen het Ruhrgebied en de haven van Rotterdam.
De halte bevindt zich ongeveer twee kilometer van het centrum van de Oberhausener wijk Holten aan de rand van de wijk Schmachtendorf.
