El castillo de Cloppenburg es un castillo medieval en ruinas del condado de Tecklenburg, situado en el centro de la ciudad de Cloppenburg, en el distrito de Cloppenburg en Baja Sajonia, justo al sur de Soeste.
El castillo de Cloppenburg debía servir a los condes de Tecklenburg para asegurar su área de dominio del norte. Inicialmente, en la primera mitad del siglo XIII, se construyó cerca del asentamiento de Krapendorf, en la llanura de Soeste, una casa fortificada protegida por un foso en una granja en Hemesburen. Antes de 1297, esta fue reemplazada por un castillo de agua, que fue mencionado por primera vez con motivo de un intercambio de tierras el 5 de enero de 1297.
