El Monumento de la Unidad Alemana, también llamado Monumento "Alemania dividida", así como, tras su inauguración y antes de la reunificación, "Monumento del este alemán", fue inaugurado el 16 de junio de 1961 en la plaza Fischtor de Maguncia con motivo del aniversario de la insurrección popular en la antigua RDA del 17 de junio de 1953, con la inscripción "Alemania es indivisible". Contiene en su mayoría los nombres de aquellas ciudades alemanas que estaban bajo administración polaca o rusa al este de los ríos Óder y Nysa, así como de ciudades en la entonces República Democrática Alemana.
