Het monument van de Duitse eenheid, ook wel het monument „Gedeeld Duitsland“ genoemd, en na de inwijding en vóór de hereniging „Monument van het Duitse Oosten“, werd op 16 juni 1961 op het Fischtor-plein in Mainz ingewijd ter gelegenheid van de verjaardag van de volksopstand in de voormalige DDR van 17 juni 1953 met de inscriptie „Duitsland is ondeelbaar“. Het bevat voornamelijk de namen van destijds onder Poolse respectievelijk Russische administratie staande voormalige Duitse steden ten oosten van Oder en Neiße en van steden in de voormalige Duitse Democratische Republiek.
