Sennewitz es una localidad del municipio de Petersberg en el distrito de Saalekreis en Sajonia-Anhalt. La antigua comunidad independiente fue desde el 1 de julio de 2006 un distrito del municipio de Götschetal. Desde el 1 de enero de 2010, Sennewitz forma parte de la comunidad unitaria de Petersberg. El 30 de junio de 2005, vivían en Sennewitz 1718 personas.
En 1182 el pueblo fue mencionado por primera vez en documentos. Sennewitz pertenecía al distrito de Giebichenstein en el Saalkreis del arzobispado de Magdeburgo. Con su incorporación a Prusia, la localidad pasó a formar parte del ducado de Magdeburgo de Brandeburgo-Prusia a partir de 1680.
