Sennewitz er en by i kommunen Petersberg i Saalekreis i Sachsen-Anhalt. Den tidligere selvstændige kommune har siden 1. juli 2006 været en del af kommunen Götschetal. Siden 1. januar 2010 har Sennewitz tilhørt den samlede kommune Petersberg. Den 30. juni 2005 boede der 1718 mennesker i Sennewitz.
I 1182 blev landsbyen nævnt for første gang i dokumenter. Sennewitz tilhørte Amt Giebichenstein i Saalkreis i erzbiskoppen af Magdeburg. Med dets tilknytning til Preussen har stedet siden 1680 været en del af det brandenburg-preussiske hertugdømme Magdeburg.
