La cima del Hordtberg es fácilmente reconocible por dos mástiles de tranmisión. Ambas entradas a la cima son bastante tranquilas en términos de tráfico. El lado occidental serpentea a través de un bosque, mientras que el lado oriental es más abierto en carácter. En la cumbre tienes una maravillosa vista de la zona del Ruhr y del Hattingen Hügelland (Elfringhauser Schweiz).
