La casa Lohn es uno de los monumentos más importantes de Südlohn. El actual edificio fue 1785 construido en estilo neoclásico temprano. La mansión y otros edificios económicos están rodeados por un foso alimentado por un lazo.
Los orígenes de la casa Lohn no están completamente claros. En 1357 se mencionan por primera vez a los señores de Dornoke o Dornick gnt. Loneken como representantes de una familia noble que habitaba la finca de caballería apta para el parlamento, situada a 500 metros al este de la granja Pröbsting . Alrededor del año 1500, Johann von Dornick cambió su nombre y se hizo llamar simplemente "von Lohn". A la casa Lohn le pertenecía el derecho de copatrón de la iglesia de Südlohn. Los miembros de la familia von Lohn tenían el derecho de ser enterrados en el área del coro de la iglesia tras su muerte.
