La maison Lohn est l'un des monuments les plus importants de Südlohn. Le bâtiment actuel a été 1785 construit dans le style néoclassique précoce. La maison de maître et d'autres bâtiments économiques sont entourés d'un fossé alimenté par le cours d'eau.
Les origines de la maison Lohn ne sont pas définitivement clarifiées. En 1357, les seigneurs de Dornoke ou Dornick, appelés également Loneken, sont pour la première fois mentionnés comme représentants d'une famille noble qui habitait le manoir noble, à 500 mètres à l'est de la cour Pröbsting. Vers l'année 1500, Johann von Dornick a changé de nom et ne s'est plus appelé que « von Lohn ». La maison Lohn avait le droit de co-patronage à l'église de Südlohn. Les membres de la famille von Lohn avaient le droit d'être enterrés dans la zone du chœur de l'église après leur mort.
