La casa Lohn è uno dei monumenti più significativi di Südlohn. L'attuale edificio fu 1785 costruito nello stile neoclassico. La villa e ulteriori edifici agricoli sono circondati da un fossato alimentato dall'anello.
Le origini della casa Lohn non sono ancora del tutto chiarite. Nel 1357 vengono menzionati per la prima volta i signori di Dornoke o Dornick con il titolo di Loneken, rappresentanti di una famiglia nobiliare che abitava la tenuta signorile, situata 500 metri a est della fattoria Pröbsting . Intorno all'anno 1500, Johann von Dornick cambiò nome e si fece chiamare solo "von Lohn". Alla casa Lohn spettava il diritto di co-patronato della chiesa di Südlohn. Ai membri della famiglia von Lohn era riservato il diritto di essere sepolti nella zona del coro della chiesa dopo la loro morte.
