Gräfinau-Angstedt es un lugar en el distrito de Ilm en Turingia. Es un barrio de la ciudad de Ilmenau. En el dialecto local, el lugar se llama Granowwe.
Gräfinau-Angstedt se encuentra en el valle de Ilm, aproximadamente a 6 km al este del centro de la ciudad de Ilmenau. El valle tiene aquí unos 1500 metros de ancho y se extiende en dirección norte-sur. El lugar se sitúa a aproximadamente 400 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Al oeste se eleva el Wolfsberg, de 527 metros de altura, que da nombre a la antigua comunidad de Wolfsberg. Al este se encuentran el Hopfberg, de 487 metros de altura, y el Brandberg, de 498 metros de altura, que pertenecen al bosque del monasterio de Paulinzella.
