Desde el principio del camino "Am Englischen Hügel" se puede ver la línea de tren de Elten a Emmerich. Un poco más al este, esta línea de tren (debido a que había poco espacio) se construyó contra la empinada ladera de la morrena justo al lado del pequeño río fronterizo "Die Wild". Allí abajo, alguna vez fluyó una rama principal del Rin que ha arrastrado grandes partes de la morrena.
"Am Englischen Hügel" le lleva desde el borde de la morrena a 26 m sobre el nivel del mar hasta la cima "Hoch-Elten" a 77 m sobre el nivel del mar.
