Situadas en una zona pantanosa preservada, las Terres d'Oiseaux son uno de los últimos cañaverales del estuario de la Gironda. Este biotopo es el hogar de aves raras y da cobijo a muchos insectos, anfibios y mamíferos. Aguiluchos laguneros, garzas, cigüeñas, agachadizas: se han observado más de 110 especies de aves.
El sitio ofrece dos áreas distintas y complementarias
- una zona libre que permite a los visitantes acceder a una torre de observación, al edificio de recepción con una zona de descanso, a la cafetería y a la tienda, así como al restaurante panorámico,
- una zona de pago compuesta por 3 senderos ornitológicos con observatorios equipados con telescopios fijos.
