Los afloramientos de cuarcita del municipio de Sierck-les-Bains se extienden por 10 hectáreas en el valle del arroyo Montenach, entre el molino de Sulzen y la capilla de Marienfloss. El interés geológico de las Cuarcitas del Taunus reside en la antigüedad de esta formación geológica de rocas eruptivas que data del Devónico (era primaria). La presencia de una roca silícea en una zona calcárea permite el florecimiento de raras plantas acidófilas. Un sendero de descubrimiento recorre el sitio. Cuatro paneles didácticos permiten comprender los entornos atravesados.
