La iglesia gótica se encuentra en el centro del pueblo. El campanario se eleva solemnemente en el aire, uno podría pensar que el edificio de 1889 es intocable. Sin embargo, en noviembre de 1944, 35 proyectiles impactaron en la zona cercana, causando daños considerables. Sólo cuatro años después, el edificio que estaba cerca del corazón de los habitantes fue restaurado. Fue la primera iglesia de la diócesis en ser reconstruida después de la guerra.
