De la antigua abadía de Saint-Médard sólo queda la cripta prerrománica, el monumento más antiguo de Soissons, que data del siglo IX. Compuesta por una decena de capillas comunicadas por un pasillo central, albergaba la tumba del obispo Saint-Médard, así como las de Clotaire y Sigebert, hijo y nieto de Clodoveo. Se organizan visitas guiadas durante todo el año, especialmente los sábados por la tarde a las 14:30 h (todos los días en julio y agosto). Las reservas pueden realizarse en la Oficina de Turismo de Soissonnais-Valois o en el CIAP de la abadía de Saint-Jean des Vignes.
