Van de voormalige abdij Saint-Médard is alleen de preromaanse crypte overgebleven, het oudste monument van Soissons uit de 9e eeuw. De crypte bestaat uit een tiental kapellen die worden bediend door een centrale gang en herbergt het graf van de bisschop Saint-Médard en dat van Clotaire en Sigebert, zoon en kleinzoon van Clovis. Er worden het hele jaar door rondleidingen georganiseerd, met name op zaterdagmiddag om 14.30 uur (elke dag in juli en augustus). Reserveren kan bij het Office du Tourisme Soissonnais-Valois of bij het CIAP van de Abdij Saint-Jean des Vignes.
