Torre de agua construida en 1788 (fecha mencionada), a finales del siglo XVIII (año IV) sobre la muralla de la fortaleza rematada por un edificio destinado a despacho del ingeniero jefe.
Fontaine Louis XVI también se llama Fontaine de la Chefferie.
La sala de máquinas se transformó posteriormente en salas comunes. Entre 1844 y 1865 se construyó un edificio similar al otro lado de la escalera, con establos, un cobertizo en el terraplén y una oficina en el terraplén. Los edificios del terraplén resultaron dañados durante la guerra de 1939-1945. Los restos fueron destruidos en 1958. Decorado por el escultor Antoine Harrewyn, conocido como Beau Soleil.
