La A684 es una carretera A que atraviesa Cumbria y North Yorkshire, comenzando en Kendal, Cumbria y terminando en Ellerbeck y la carretera A19 en North Yorkshire. Cruza todo el ancho de los Yorkshire Dales, pasando por Garsdale y la longitud completa de Wensleydale.
Las inundaciones pueden ser un problema después de fuertes lluvias, especialmente en Appersett, cerca de Hawes, y la nieve intensa puede cerrar la carretera temporalmente en la colina Black Horse y en Garsdale.
