El castillo de Doonagore es una casa torre redonda del siglo XVI con un pequeño recinto amurallado ubicado a unos 1 km sobre Doolin. Su nombre puede significar "el fuerte de las colinas redondeadas" o "el fuerte de las cabras"; se sitúa en una colina con vistas a Doolin Point y, junto con una torre de radio más alta cercana, se utiliza como punto de navegación por los barcos que se acercan al muelle de Doolin. Actualmente, el castillo de Doonagore es una casa de vacaciones privada, inaccesible al público.
