Il Castello di Doonagore è una torre circolare del XVI secolo con un piccolo recinto murato situato a circa 1 km sopra Doolin. Il suo nome potrebbe significare "il forte delle colline arrotondate" o "il forte delle capre"; si trova su una collina che sovrasta Doolin Point e, insieme a un'antenna radio più alta nei pressi, è utilizzato come punto di navigazione dalle barche in avvicinamento al molo di Doolin. Attualmente, il Castello di Doonagore è una casa vacanze privata, inaccessibile al pubblico.
