El pueblo de Zuidbroek está situado en el municipio de Midden-Groningen en la provincia neerlandesa de Groningen. En 2021, Zuidbroek contaba con 3.575 habitantes. Hasta el 1 de julio de 1965, Zuidbroek era un municipio independiente. En esta fecha, el municipio se fusionó con Noordbroek para formar el municipio de Oosterbroek. Desde 1992, el pueblo ha sido atravesado por la autopista A7. La iglesia reformada de cruz se encuentra al norte de la carretera, mientras que la estación de tren, la mayor parte del comercio, la mayoría de los barrios residenciales y las zonas industriales Gouden Driehoek e Industrieweg se localizan en la parte sur del pueblo.
