Aunque la ciudad de Sluis contaba con siete molinos de viento en el siglo XV, la mayoría de ellos han sido demolidos. Los últimos dos, ambos molinos de poste de madera, en 1926 y 1937. Ha permanecido De Brak, llamado así por una raza de perros, que fue construido en 1739 y se encuentra en un montículo de molino de 2,5 m de altura. Fue el primer molino de piedra de Sluis.
