Bien que la ville de Sluis comptait sept moulins à vent au 15ème siècle, la plupart d'entre eux ont été démolis. Les deux derniers, tous deux des moulins à poteaux en bois, ont été construits en 1926 et 1937. Reste De Brak, nommé d'après une race de chiens, construit en 1739 et se trouvant sur un tertre de moulin de 2,5 m de haut. C'était le premier moulin en pierre de Sluis.
