Woudrichem es una antigua ciudad fortificada en el Merwede, en la provincia de Brabante Septentrional, en la región de Heusden y Altena, en el municipio de Altena. Woudrichem tiene más de 4000 habitantes. También fue un municipio anterior antes de unirse al municipio de Altena.
Woudrichem se encuentra en el norte del país de Altena, en la desembocadura del Afgedamde Maas en el Waal. Estos dos ríos continúan fluyendo juntos como el Boven-Merwede. Este punto de confluencia también se conoce como el "Punto de Tres Provincias", donde se encuentran las fronteras entre las provincias de Holanda Meridional, Brabante Septentrional y Gelderland.
